United Nations involvement
After much detecting, August 20th, 2013 is when North Korean defectors told the U.N. Panel of prison camp abuses. The U.N. Panel listened to defectors of the camps recall the events they had witnessed over the years. It then deliberated over the compelling stories and sent a message to Kim Jong Un saying that he would be persecuted for his crimes against humanity. These crimes included abduction, torture, and mass starvation. Retired Australian judge Michael Kirby, who is chairing the three person commission, is to formally present the 372-page detailed annex to the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva on March 17.
